FEA Consulting - Finite Element Analysis Consulting - Our FEA consultants perform complex structural and thermal engineering simulations, primarily using finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for consulting projects.

Stress Analysis - Stress analysis is probably the most common application of the finite element method. It is applied to numerous industries such as aerospace, electronics, automotive, consumer products, nuclear, marine, and heavy equipment.

Dynamics - JLR uses a variety of techniques to perform linear and nonlinear dynamic analyses, including both time (transient) and frequency (vibration) based solutions.

Drop Test Consulting - A drop test involves orienting an object with respect to an assumed gravitational field and allowing it to drop from some specified height under the influence of gravity onto a flat, rigid surface. It is significant in several industries including nuclear and electronics.

Buckling - Two techniques are available for performing buckling analyses - nonlinear buckling analysis and eigenvalue (or linear) buckling analysis.

Explicit Dynamics - ANSYS/LS-Dyna quickly performs difficult dynamic nonlinear calculations such as deformations, loads and collision-related stresses. These capabilities make it ideal for performing simulations involving metal forming, crash dynamics, drop tests, and rapid manufacturing process -- explicitly, short durations events.

Parametric FEA & CFD Models - One of our specialties is developing custom parametric finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics solutions that encompass a broad range of design parameters. These models are set up to allow you to automatically generate the geometry, material properties, loads and boundary conditions, identify contact surfaces (if any), obtain the solution, and produce contour plots, charts and tables that summarize the results

Semiconductor CFD Consulting - JLR has performed significant CFD work on semiconductor manufacturing processes to optimize and accurately analyze the resulting complex reacting flow. CFD is extremely useful and cost-effective in minimizing prototyping of various process designs reducing cost and man hours required. In addition, it is also extremely useful in understanding and optimizing flow patters resulting in proper coating processes and thickness studies of wafers. Virtual process development can get your within your process window quicker, cheaper, more reliabily.

CFD Pharmaceutical Mixing and Reactions - Mixing Tanks: We have performed many large scale simulations for pharmaceutical mixing tanks to determine quality of mixing. This includes an analysis of various tank geometries, different impellors, rotation rates, injection location and rates etc. We have performed analyses on tanks ranging from 100 L to 40,000 L to optimize design to meet design goals. As a result, we have helped clients pick the right combination of tanks, impellors, configurations, and conditions to result in optimal mixing patterns.

Aerospace CFD Consulting - JLR has significant expertise in multiple aspects of CFD analysis of aerospace applications using both CFX and Fluent. We have dealt with numerous examples of external and internal superosonic flows, subsonic and transonic aerodynamics, and aerospace HVAC applications

Fluid Structure Interaction-FSI - Coupling stuctural and fluid analyses, known as Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) is at the forefront of mainstream CAE. ANSYS' FSI results are many time almost impossible to solve otherwise with software. Fully coupled, implicit solvers enable fast, robust soultions. The full materials library and FEA solver capability of ANSYS and the coupled multigrid solver of CFX makes JLR's capability second to none in terms of our value to your organization for consulting and mentoring.
