CFD Consulting and FEA Consulting Services

We provide world-class ANSYS consulting services solutions worldwide using finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for product development, design of experiments (DOE), robust process design, and root cause analysis.

We serve all industries including:

  process/industrial
  chemical
  pharma-manufacturing
  aerospace
  electronics
  semiconductor fab processing
  nuclear / DOE
  marine
  automotive
  DOD/Homeland Security

We live and breathe stress-FEA analysis, fluid dynamics-CFD, kinematics - motion analysis, all forms of heat transfer, eigen-based dynamics and vibration (seismic, full transient, harmonic), structural FEA drop test, explosion/blast, and electromagnetics (DC, AC, full wave, transient, RF).  JLR's consultants are accomplished engineers, analysts, and experts at FEA & CFD.

From large structures to very small MEMS devices, the physics simulations that we perform allow you to better understand the behavior of your products, giving you the knowledge to improve the time to market, functionality, cost, and quality of your designs.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Consulting solves for pressures and velocities of fluids, as well conjugate heat transfer. JLR uses ANSYS, ICEM CFD, and CFX to solve a wide variety of CFD problems.
Our FEA consultants perform complex structural and thermal engineering simulations, primarily using finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for consulting projects.
JLR has performed significant CFD work on semiconductor manufacturing processes to optimize and accurately analyze the resulting complex reacting flow. CFD is extremely useful and cost-effective in minimizing prototyping of various process designs reducing cost and man hours required. In addition, it is also extremely useful in understanding and optimizing flow patters resulting in proper coating processes and thickness studies of wafers. Virtual process development can get your within your process window quicker, cheaper, more reliabily.
Mixing Tanks: We have performed many large scale simulations for pharmaceutical mixing tanks to determine quality of mixing. This includes an analysis of various tank geometries, different impellors, rotation rates, injection location and rates etc. We have performed analyses on tanks ranging from 100 L to 40,000 L to optimize design to meet design goals. As a result, we have helped clients pick the right combination of tanks, impellors, configurations, and conditions to result in optimal mixing patterns.
JLR has significant expertise in multiple aspects of CFD analysis of aerospace applications using both CFX and Fluent. We have dealt with numerous examples of external and internal superosonic flows, subsonic and transonic aerodynamics, and aerospace HVAC applications
Coupling stuctural and fluid analyses, known as Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) is at the forefront of mainstream CAE. ANSYS' FSI results are many time almost impossible to solve otherwise with software. Fully coupled, implicit solvers enable fast, robust soultions. The full materials library and FEA solver capability of ANSYS and the coupled multigrid solver of CFX makes JLR's capability second to none in terms of our value to your organization for consulting and mentoring.
Our ANSYS consultants perform complex structural and thermal engineering simulations, primarily using finite element analysis FEA and computational fluid dynamics CFD for consulting.
AUTODYN is an explicit analysis FEA and FV tool for modeling the non-linear dynamics of solids, fluids, gas and their interaction. The focus is on providing the most advanced capability and also a very robust tool, backed up by first class support.
We determine the cause of a failure, often using finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
Following training, we help you apply your newly acquired finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) knowledge to your real life problems.
We take the custom ANSYS finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models and make them accessible to you over the internet.
As part of our Standard Software Support, we include a number of additional services designed to help our users become more proficient in using the software effectively. We also offer an Enhanced Support option that includes additional services.
JLR uses a variety of techniques to perform linear and nonlinear dynamic analyses, including both time (transient) and frequency (vibration) based solutions.
PhysMod (Physics Modeling) is a custom web-based simulation environment developed by JLR that integrates custom software tools with best-of-class 3rd-party products including ANSYS, CAE WorkBench, CFX, Engineous, LMS, cPDM and PLM programs, and others.
JLR provides a unique combination of traditional machine testing services and advanced analytical techniques. STI is a leader in providing machine testing and diagnostic services for turbomachinery, machine tools, cutting tools, turbine blades, mechanical systems, structures, rotating machinery and more. In addition, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and customized software we diagnose the onset of mechanical vibration faults, performance degradation and component remaining life.
