ANSYS Version 11 is ready for downloading from the ANSYS Customer Portal (login required). This website can be used to help in the installation of the software. The installation can be performed on either a client or a license manager machine. It is also possible to only install the license manager.
For existing customers, the current license file being used should still work for ANSYS Version 11.
For new customers, a license file will need to be created. License Files can be made based on either the Disk ID or Ethernet Address. The Ethernet Address is used in most cases. The Disk ID should be used if the computer that Ansys and the License Manager is being installed on is a laptop.
Once you have obtained your license key from JLR, the license must be installed on the license server machine and all clients machines must be pointed towards the license manager
Sometimes it is necessary to debug your ANSYS installation and licensing setup. Below are some files to aid you with the debug process.
A Remote Solve Manager is one of the new products available in ANSYS Version 11.0. Here are some instructions for installing and setting up the Remote Solve Manager.
